THE ZIP YARD SEW UP TOP RETAIL AWARD

The Zip Yard, Ireland’s only clothing alterations and garment repair franchise, has won the coveted Franchise of The Year for Retail at the 2023 Irish Franchise Association Awards. The ambitious franchise, with 23 stores across the Republic of Ireland, has created over 200 jobs since its inception in 2009.

The prestigious awards ceremony, which took place on Friday April 21st at Dunboyne Castle, Co. Meath, recognises excellence and leadership in the Irish franchise industry and is the only event completely dedicated to those working in franchising in Ireland.

Caroline Wallace, MD of The Zip Yard said: “We are absolutely delighted to be honoured with this award. It’s a true acknowledgement of the hard work and dedication our team at head office along with what our franchisees contribute daily. This award not only recognises all we have achieved but it serves to highlight our incredible retail brand.”

The Zip Yard were also finalists in three other categories – Sustainability Champion of the Year, Employee Star of the Year and Community Champion of the Year.

0ver 200 representatives from 30 franchises across Ireland, joined together in celebrating the 2023 Irish Franchise Association Awards. The Irish Franchise Association Gala Evening and Awards is the single largest event for the franchising community in Ireland. The nineteen Awards recognise and celebrate all that is great and wonderful about franchising, and most importantly, the people who make it such a huge success.
Winners are selected by an independent adjudication panel chaired by ex-Dragons’ Den dragon Bobby Kerr, alongside John Lane, Partner at Holohan Lane Solicitors, Elaine Dunne, Business Banking Manager Permanent TSB and Greg Swift, Head of Enterprise for Dublin City LEO.
